Miss Underworld:
Assignment 4

Round 1: In regards to your song, your pic must be a “scene” from the song, following the lyrics for a shot in a music video of that song. Except that Medusa had other ideas and sent you all, save one into a time machine, each of you ending up in a different era (your pick). For the one not Sabotaged, Medusa gives you a key. You may choose to open door number 1 or the door to the time machine and pull someone else out that will be free from Sabotage. If you pull a person free of the time machine, she will also get to open one of three doors for a prize. Will you take the risk?

Round 2: Medusa calls and tells you LE is out scouting for new talent, but had booked you all a swimwear photoshoot on a beautiful island beach. Too bad Medusa switched the tickets and you ended up some place where swimwear is not the best thing to wear, at all. For the one not sabotaged and Chama, you are at a beautiful beach.

I couldn't have been more excited when I found out what song Medusa had assigned to me - I mean, who DOESN'T love The Who? I mean, really. I was loving the concept of the video, until all of a sudden, a stagehand (who couldn't have been human, because, let's face it, no human could push me anywhere) pushed me into this ... well, I didn't exactly know what it was at first, it looked like Back to the Future meets old school stand up tanning bed meets broom closet. When the purple lights came on, I started feeling light headed and stifled the urge to call out for McFly.
Then it started. The low, resonating whir - and then the wind that felt like it separated my body, atom, by atom. It was excruciation, but it's all I remember. Yes. I can admit it. The third strongest shifter in the entire state of Louisiana passed out from the pain.

When I woke up, despite the headache and the pile of vomit next to me - it only took me a few moments to realize where I was. Before I even opened my eyes - I smelled pack. Strong. All around me... and trust me - when a Were is hurt - that's what you want to smell. Home. But I still wasn't prepared for what I saw.

I'd been here before - or better yet - i'd been to this exact site in the future. One of the oldest Panthera meeting places ... but the way it looked was something I'd only seen drawings of in secret texts my dad kept in a vault under his study. The trees were there, something I'd found terrifying until my father had explained their significance. The skulls of past leaders and the strongest alphas were hung from sacred trees to keep their knowledge and power close to the pack - and were honored every full moon...

Maybe you don't know a lot about our history - but we've been here as long as you have - and we are global. Google "Panther Sightings in England and the Americas." The actual animal is not native to the area, but some how sightings of enormous black cats go back as early as people kept record. Yep. It was us. And though, all through history, we'd be burned at the stake like witches if ever exposed - those of us who managed to stay hidden among humans (despite being ... lunarly-challenged) were vital to human existence. That incredible hunter that managed to always find food to bring home to his village? You can bet he was one of us. The shaman who healed your child of the sickness that was taking lives in record numbers all around you? He was one of us too.

And I'd somehow landed back in (what I guessed was) the 1300's - in the middle of the Somhain Lunar Hunt.

The next morning, I woke up to a steel toed boot being jammed into my ribs; I growled - but only heard a laugh in response. It's not a laugh you ever forget once you've heard it - devoid of all joy, all humor.. full of pure contempt. Medusa.

"You were supposed to be at he airport this morning." She arranged her mouth into what she probably thought was a smile and pointed at her watch.

"Technically, I'm supposed to be at the airport in about..." I did a few calculations in my head, "...in a little over seven hundred years, Medusa. I've got time to sleep it off." I rolled over - even though I knew I wasn't getting to go back to sleep. I'd been allowed to hunt with the Bluestone pack the night before - to shift with the descendants of the LEGENDS who built Stonehenge (Yep. WerePanthers. I mean, seriously, do you actually think HUMANS could have lifted those stones?). The air felt different here - charged with electricity and magic.. and really - they'd hunted. I'd ran and jumped and rolled in the dirt like a kitten - batting leaves around in the air and climbing trees just to look out at the untainted, undeveloped English landscape as it had been centuries ago with my panther eyes, seeing farther into the distance than any human ever could.

Before I could even fake a snore, I was being pulled to my feet by my hair. Medusa whirled me around and that snarl she calls a smile was still in place.

"You have your swimwear shoot." And with that, we were time-traveling again - only worse. No time machine, no flux capacitor - just me in open space-time, hanging by my hair from Medusa's stony fingertips. At least I didn't pass out this time. I fell to my knees as soon as we hit land and proceeded to gag until I was dry heaving in the snow. ...Snow?

"I though you said swimwear." I managed to gasp out between convulsions.

"Hmm.." she murmured - amusement in her voice. "Traveling with out use of stones or a machine is ... tricky." She laughed. "I guess we'll just have to make due here."

underworld week three

Well, i pulled up to the "set" of my first real photoshoot -- for Medusa's new perfume; which, if you ask me, smells like roses and rotting corpses - but... maybe that was the point. Well, first of all, I was late AND covered in blood ... not my blood - and it's not what you think. trust me. I've learned to expect anything concerning Medusa to be a disaster, so the fact that we were shooting at the creepiest old house in Hotshot didn't surprise me. Neither did the pigtails or the floral&cloud print dress. I scoped out the prop table and found ... teddy bears and lollipops? I guess Medusa's trying to diversify her audience. I picked up the cutest little mummy-bear (FULLY intending to hide it in my bag after the shoot) and a yummy Dia de los Muertos themed skull lolly, but neither did much to raise my spirits. I was pi.ss.ed off to the fullest extent - despite the fact that normally, i would have loved this shoot. Thrown off by what was possibly (probably) going on in my house, I could barely get my mouth into anything other than a grimace... At least when I'm in human form, baring my teeth isn't so scary.

Okay, why was I so angry today? Well, yesterday (my day off, i might add) I was supposed to spend a lazy, peaceful, relaxing day by the beach. Did it happen? What do you think? The leader of a neighboring pack was killed; and the weaker members of his pack were given two options by the new master: leave or die. My dad, a total bleeding heart, decided to take in LITERALLY half of the Metraire panthers... yeah, the only problem is he doesn't QUITE have enough space to house twenty Weres. Which means those of us who can, have to take them in until the pack can find more permanent housing. Lucky, lucky me ended up with FOUR of their weakest, most submissive cats; I guess the point being I'm dominant enough to keep them in line. But, no one thought far enough ahead to comprehend that maybe the good old boys might not be too keen on taking orders from a woman, hence the blood at my photoshoot and one less kitty in my house. The doctors say if he regains his strength enough to shift - he'll be fine. :]

But it's not like it's made the other three any easier to get along with. I came home from my photoshoot to find out that they'd PAWNED my freaking coffee table to buy beer, and not only did they RUIN my love-seat with mud and shifter-fluid, they tried TO EAT IT. Lovely. Thanks Dad. No good deed ever goes unpunished.

Assignment 2

You will have two pictures this round, and very basic to start off with. Remember though, I judge on Style and Presentation. So make sure you always go for that Glamour Shot.

Round 1: It’s time to redo that Evening gown shot, but this time, the evening gown is from a famous designer of the sims world. Unfortunately, my stylist left you bald. Be Bald, Be Beautiful!

Round 2: Talent show: You were supposed to rawk the house on the guitar in a rocker outfit, instead, you get a school girl outfit, courtesy of wardrobe, and a nursery rhyme to sing. That’s not all, you now have to wear a wig, an EA hair wig. The colors are Orange, Blue, Purple, and Green.

------------------------------------------

"No, no, no, no, NO!" Leighton growled (yes, literally), her eyes squeezed shut, as if not seeing it would make it no so. The ache was spreading; first a dull but persistantly painful pressure in her jaw, especially behind her canines. She wondered briefly if they were called still canines if they were in feline mouths, but as the pain seeped into her paws, er, hands she realized she REALLY had to get it together.

"I will NOT shift." Her voice was still a painful growl, her throat in some strange stage betwen feline and human. If she shifted, her energy (since she was an alpha in their pack, being the pack-master's daughter, and one of the most powerful panthers in their city) would force at least half of the were-panthers in the audience to shift right where they stood.

She really should have seen it coming, if not when Medusa flashed her that evil little smirk, then definitely when she showed up to hair and makeup and Amy Keller (one of her brothers many, many, many) ex (read one-night) girlfriends was standing there smiling up at her, those usually empty (as in I'm to dumb to be breathing) eyes were flashing with a little more ... purpose. She made a mental note to punch Bryce in the face as soon as she got a chance.

She was BALD. Not just short, not like one of Kate Gosslin's seventen children just stuck her head in a garbage disposal ... not even short like she and Britney should get matching tattoos.. No, short like Mr. Clean just walked in and shampooed her hair with a big bottle of Nair. And she was ANGRY. And Amy? What was she THINKING? Her family was pack- of COURSE she knew how close it was to the full moon... Leigh snorted, "Well, i have a feeling this moon isn't going to be pleasant for little-miss-beauty-shop." Her beast agreed, she could feel that second heart-rate, the feline heart rate speed up, the adrenaline pump through her veins at the thought of a hunt... and convieniently, the whole pack was running on Leigh's dad's property this weekend.

In some place behind her eyes, she could see it; the big beautiful cat, stalking slowly, impatiently, waiting for the right time to escape... A look crossed her face, that petulant look housecats get when they know you're not their owner, you're their servant, and they're in charge... her beast wanted to hunt. Leigh took a long, deep, shaky breath. "Not tonight, kitten. I run this. Not you."

So she put on her game face, and tried not to lok disgusted as she stepped out onto the runway; the boys from Hotshot had come to this show; and prety much ransacked the club that has ben so pristine last week. She shook it off, this was the time to make it work... plus, it was kinda fun to walk down the runway with people cheering her name.

Well, the owners of the venue really did NOT like what the boys had done with the place, and after her walk, they were all told to leave. Immediately. Luckily, Medusa had found somewhere else to hold the talent portion of her day ... the abandoned high school - which was now home to squatters and druggies any time the weather was bad. Leigh was pumped the entire car ride over, she even let Bryce off the hook. After all, she was about to do what she did best. She breezed in the rotting doors and sailed off to styling ... but her high didn't last long.

"A school girl uniform?" She asked, out loud, wrinkling her nose at the blazer and plaid skirt. She pushed the wardrobe girl aside and ruffled through the rack, shooting looks that should have terrified the poor little human stylist. Finally, she found a pair of uniform shorts and sighed with relief.. That stage was high and she did NOT ned the entire community of Hotshot loking up her skirt. Not today.

She wasn't in the least bit surprised by the hideous wig she was required to wear; expect he unexpected - at least where Medusa was concerned... but nothing could hide her disappointment when she found out what she would be required to sing. A nursery rhyme. She only knew one; one her mom used to sing to her and Bryce when they were little and trying to pull each other's hair out..

There once were two cats of Kilkenny.
Each thought there was one cat too many.
So they fought and they fit.
And they scratched and they bit.
Until, except for their nails,
And the tips of their tails.
Instead of two cats, there weren't any!

Miss Simiverse Underworld - Assignment one; part two

FULLSIZE

Round 2: After the “mix up” of the evening gown, you are ready to slip into a slinky bikini and strut down the runway. Too bad, yet again, I had the stage hand give you something that totally did NOT go with the top half of the bikini you did have. Suck it up, and strut yourself. The Simmerverse is watching. (You must change the bottom half in to something that completely does not go with your top. It is your choice on what you want to do)
